finally finished the first season of sherlock

is this real life. like is this real life. are you friggin kidding me. i just can’t even. god damnit now im like not gonna sleep for the next two days cause i have to watch the next season. i mean, i can sit here and say that it’s so good, but like there’s really no point because there is literally no way for me to convey my love except for the fact that i have never been so attracted to someone i’ve never met before. benedict cumberbatch, you light up my world like nobody else; the way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed.

i think what it comes down to is the fact that we can't make so many all-encompassing statements.

some people try to claim that life is sad, and it sucks, while others claim that life is beautiful. but i’ve come to realize that the truth lies in neither; life just is. there are so many sad things, and so many beautiful things, so many things that you will take no notice of, and so many things that will make you think, and cry, and smile, and feel and i just wish everyone could see this. instead of trying to figure it [life] out, just experience what you can, and i promise you that not everything will be beautiful, but not everything will be sad, and with this attitude maybe things will suck a little less.

a thank you would have been nice

i just got home at three in the morning fuck everyone literally fuck everyone like i can’t even just fuck you all well not everyone just those of you i’m thinking in my head but can’t write because this personal blog is not so personal but fuck you all fuck everyone oh my god just fuck everyone i can’t even i don’t think i’ve ever been quite like this although taking down my hair and putting on sweatpants and getting into bed with my laptop did help a lot because i have been on my feet for ten fucking hours and my life has been reduced to the god-awful smell of masa and the songs the radio stations play after midnight but of course i want to do it all and i know it’s my fault i volunteer for it because i just care so god damn much but at the end of the day when my feet hurt and chicken grease has stained my vegan shirt and someone continues to make me feel so unbearably bad about myself and i’ve gotten in trouble for volunteering too late i can’t help but think a thank you would have been nice.

“

Love, I smashed my glass slipper
to build a stained glass window
for every wall inside my chest.

Now my heart is a pressed flower in a tattered Bible.
It is the one verse you can trust.

So I’m putting all of my words in your collection plate.
I am setting the table with bread and grace.

My knees are bent
like the corner of a page.
I am saving your place.

tell me about your summer so far.

lol yes sir.

well, what can i say, it’s been great!

i’ve yolo-ed more than i ever would have thought… i mean what do you wanna know? i’ve gone to the beach, i’ve gone hiking, i’ve gone to the city, i don’t think i’ve gone to bed before one at all… but i dunno, the best part is how much this past week or so has just really truly felt like summer. in all honesty, i am happy. it’s hard to explain… it’s the people, the music, the places, the food, the weather, the freedom… it’s not just one thing, it’s all of the little things that are making me happy. i’ll be driving with friends and the windows are down and we’re listening to music and all of a sudden i notice that we are having fun, and it’s as simple as that, and so i am happy. i mean, it’s a little more complicated, and there’s some personal stuff involved which is definitely a contributing factor, but mostly i am having fun because i realized it was time, and for that i am happy.

after making snow cones for five hours at the mountain play yesterday,

i observed that when ordering a snow cone with all three flavors, children tended to say “i want a rainbow one!” while the adults tended to ask for a “multicolored one.” how boring.

haha i just answered this… the best part of my junior year was going to nicaragua. but i would say that in general junior year is quite fabulous because the majority of us get our licenses and with that comes lots of freedom and adventures

going to nicaragua. i know that’s very broad but the entire trip was truly amazing

today was awesome

because i did no homework/studying and instead i did all of these fun things:

  • at my church today was the Bridging Ceremony for the seniors so that was very emotional and happy and inspiring and i love unitarian universalism
  • my friend and i finished building our rockets for our physics final tomorrow
  • i participated in a kidnapping/surprise birfday partay with ma frands
  • i went to an end of the year ASB awards dinner and got to hear our principal talk about leadership which was interesting because of reasons
  • then (here’s the fun part) i met Dennis Kucinich and listened to him speak
  • also i saw the largest moon i have every seen, plus it was pink and full so it was all together beautiful
